Photographer, born in Berlin in 1936, daughter of the theatrical choreographer Franz Mertz. She marries Daniel Spoerri and moves to Paris with him where she bonds relationships of friendship with artists such as Jean Tinguely, Yves Klein, Niki de Saint Phalle, Eva Aeppli, Cèsar, Christo, Mimmo Rotella, and Jacques Villeglé. She entirely dedicates herself to portraying the works of these artists; in a second moment she focuses on interior design in collaboration with important architects in Hong Kong and Seoul. From 2005, her photographs are mainly still life, that are printed in large formats and with which she has been acknowledged success and fame both in the United States and in Europe.
